If you want to see firsthand how we produce food in an environmentally and ethically responsible way, join us for a guided tour of Freckle Farm. You will learn how holistic farming produces healthy, nutritious, tasty food and we will explain our pasture based, chemical free, natural farming principles. These tours are limited to the first 70 people to register. Click on your preferred date to book a spot.
What you will see
Freckle Farm tours are led by owners Rob Bauman and Deb McLucas. They vary depending on the season, but most tours will include a session on each of the following:
- Free Range Chickens
- Pastured Berkshire Pigs (Heritage Breed)
- Brahman & Nguni Cross Cattle
- Permaculture Food Forest & Gardens
- Composting & Worm Farms
You will also be able to purchase farm produce after the tour, so remember to bring a cooler bag or esky. We do have EFTPOS facilities on farm.
We are often asked if the farm tours are suitable for children. Our response is an emphatic YES! In fact the Freckle Farm Tour has been carefully designed with children in mind, because we strongly believe that all kids need to see where real food comes from. We have a hay trailer ride for the little ones and all of our walking tracks are pram friendly. This is one of the few opportunities most children will get to see and touch real farm animals. So please bring your children, grandchildren, neighbours children etc. with you. We love to have them on our tours.
