We run school tours for the next generation from kindergarten through to high school. Groups will have a one hour (children) to two hour (teens) walking tour of the farm. Deb McLucas leads these tours offering an up-close view of the farm and what is involved in keeping the animals happy and healthy.
Children will normally have a chance to see chickens, pigs, beef and dairy cattle, horses, food forests, gardens, composting and worm farms. We provide school tours free of charge, but please remember that we run a commercial farming operation, which means we do have a lot of regular farm chores to be done every day. For this reason we can only offer one school tour per month, so be sure to give us plenty of notice if you have a specific date in mind.
Please contact us to make arrangements for your school group to visit Freckle Farm.
